
The first meeting of a new Scout troop in Silloth will take place later this month.
1st Silloth Scout group will meet on Thursday January 30 and youngsters aged 10 to 13 are invited to attend to find out what Scouting can offer them.
Potential adult volunteers, aged 18-plus, are also invited to attend.
The group will meet at Eden Street between 6pm and 7.15pm.
Scouting provides over 250 activities for children and young people. It also gives them opportunities to learn and develop skills for life. These include independence, leadership, problem solving, self-confidence, social skills and teamwork.
