
Cleator Cricket Club have appointed a new professional for the 2025 season in the Cumbria League.
Dilan Jayalath will be making his first professional trip to the UK from Sri Lanka and comes with a solid reputation.
A right hand bat, who bowls off-breaks, 27-year-old Jayalath can also keep wicket.
Back home he plays for Nugegoda Sports and Welfare Club and has racked-up just under 2,000 runs with a top score of 203 not out in August 2022.
He has toured England with Sri Lanka Under-19s in 2016 playing in two Tests and three one day internationals.
Announcing the signing the Cleator club said: “Dilan is poised to be a key player in Cleator’s summer success.
“A dynamic talent who is well-suited to English conditions we are confident Dilan will shine.”
