Station Road A extended their lead at the top of Division 1, with a 4-1 home victory against Workington Veterans Club A, moving to 36 points, while United Club A also kept up the pressure in the top tier title race, securing a crucial win over Workington Golf Club, sitting in second just 3 points behind on a total of 33.
In Division 2, Workington Conservative Club continue to call the tune, stretching their lead at the top on 27 points.
United Club B’s produced a thrilling comeback that saw them leapfrog Maryport Social into second place, as the race for promotion and the play-offs heats up.
Rack Shack and Vets Club B remain in the battle for survival, with Vets Club B now in last place on 11 points.
Station Road Club opened up their home win with Tom Thompson producing a sharp tactical display to overcome Mark Tunstall 61-28, giving his side a 1-0 a lead.
Next up, Kevin Kirkham showed his class in a high-quality contest, edging out Vets A captain Kevin Basnett 60-46 in a tense frame filled with some excellent safety play.
Stephen O’Hagan provided a glimmer of hope for the Vets A outfit as he delivered a commanding 64-30 victory over Chris Hunter, pulling the match score back to 2-1.

However, John Teasdale restored Station Road’s control with a composed 58-42 victory over Mark Tatton, leaving Vets A with facing defeat.
In the final frame of the match, Darren Lawson wrapped up the match with an assured 61-28 win over Paul Smith, sealing the 4-1 home victory.
Defeat sees Vets Club A remains in third place with 29 points but are now level with Workington Golf Club A.
In the next fixture, a high-stakes all Division 1 encounter, United Club A secured a 3-2 away victory over Workington Golf Club, keeping them firmly in the title race.
The match began with a dominant display from Golf Club’s Ryan Ismay, as he overwhelmed Dave Chapman 73-5, putting the home side ahead.
However, Mark Cowan couldn’t maintain the momentum for Golf Club, as United’s Mark Suitor responded with a 62-23 victory to level the match at 1-1.
The third frame saw United A’s Peter O’Hagan produce a match-defining break of 32, as he secured a 74-56 win over Phil Sorfleet, pushing the visitors ahead at 2-1.
The Golf Club weren’t done yet however, as Brian Walker delivered a solid 52-21 victory over Clive Lister, ensuring the match went to a deciding frame.

With everything on the line, United A captain Andrew Mitchelhill stepped up in style, compiling a superb 46 break to crush Simon Fraser 75-7, sealing a crucial 3-2 victory in the process.
Workington Golf Club A sit joint third, level on 29 points with Vets Club A.
Workington Conservative Club strengthened their grip at the top of Division 2 with a 4-1 away victory against Vets Club B.
Two-time Cumbria county champion Alan Moore opened with an assured 55-23 win over Jordan Ferguson, setting the tone for the match.
In the next frame, Julian Plaza displayed brilliant tactical play to overcome Wayne Sinclair 53-32, doubling the lead for Cons.
Dave Holland, in outstanding form of late, extended the lead further with a clinical 60-9 victory over Adam Hodgson, leaving Vets B reeling at 3-0 down.
However, Simon Tootle responded for Vets B, holding his nerve in a tense battle to defeat Ryan Barker 53-45, pulling one back for the home side.
In the final frame, Brian Kendall produced one of his best performances of the season, powering past Paul Johnston 75-22, sealing what was a dominant 4-1 victory for the Cons side.
Next up, Workington’s United Club B produced a stunning comeback from 2-0 down to defeat fellow Division 2 outfit Maryport Social 3-2 in a fiercely competitive fixture.
In frame one, Ben Scott put Maryport Social ahead with a 61-21 victory over Shane Tallentire, showcasing sharp potting and control.
The visitors doubled their lead as Andrew Sharp edged out Andrew Carter 51-45 on the black, giving Maryport a 2-0 cushion.
Nevertheless, Stephen Jackson ignited United B’s fightback, delivering a flawless 71-38 win over Andrew Scott to keep his team in contention.
With momentum shifting, Adam Sowden showed resilience to nick the fourth frame on the black, defeating Gary Miller 51-43, setting up a thrilling decider.
In the final frame, Stephen Harrison completed the comeback in style, dispatching Greg Todd 53-34, sealing an incredible turnaround victory for United Club B.
United Club B move up to second place in Division 2 with 19 points, while Maryport Social slip to third on 18 points.
