
A man from London is due to appear in court next month in connection with damage caused to Penrith’s Paddington Bear in December.
On December 2, it was reported that there was damage to planters in the town centre and the statue of the popular fictional character in Little Dockray.
Anil Puri, 56, of Stanstead Road, London has been charged with two counts of criminal damage.
He is due to appear before Carlisle Magistrates Court on March 14.
