A man has been arrested after reports that traders in a West Cumbrian town.
Copeland Police said: ” We received a report this afternoon regarding a male behaving in a threatening and abusive manner towards shopkeepers in Whitehaven town centre.”
Officers attended immediately and found the man on a nearby street.
After a short foot chase, he was detained and arrested.
Copeland police said: “We will not tolerate this behaviour and encourage anyone who is subjected to or witnesses it to call us straight away.”
