Teenagers suspected of anti-social behaviour in Carlisle have said sorry and gone on litter picks.

Carlisle police said two groups of boys were taken out to help clean up areas of the city as part of restorative justice.

They also wrote letters of apology to their victims.

One group was taken out on Thursday, March 20, and yesterday, Friday March 21.

Carlisle Police said the pair on Friday were identified as suspects in anti-social behaviour in New Harraby.

They added: “With their parents’ permission, they have cleaned up parts of Keenan Park and written letters of apology to those affected by their actions.

“Carlisle Police will not tolerate any behaviour that makes any member of our community feel harassed in their own home.

“We hope this approach of community work will make them think about their behaviour in the future.”

Another group of teens will carry out another litter pick in Keenan Park soon.
