
Two burglars – one wearing a balaclava – broke into Egremont’s Co-op in the early hours of Saturday.
Police are investigating the incident at the Main Street supermarket, which happened at around 2.30am.
Cumbria police said two people were spotted forcing entry. One wearing all black with a grey head covering, with the second wearing a black jacket, balaclava, blue jeans and black trainers.
The force said it was looking for information from any local residents and businesses who may have seen or heard anything or have any CCTV footage which may offer further information.
