A family fun day will be held on Bank Holiday Monday at a pub near Penrith.

Organisers of the event, at The Kings Arms in Stainton, said there will be plenty on offer for all ages on Monday, May 5.

The event runs from noon to 5pm and includes music, entertainment, and children’s games, arts and crafts.

54 Degrees activities will take place in the village hall, with 45 minute sessions starting at 2pm and 3pm.

The pub’s field to fork truck will serve favourites from noon to 7.30pm, including woodfired pizzas.

There will also be a pop-up cocktail bar.

The event will also feature the first ever Stainton May Day queen – who will be announced at 3pm, followed by a May Day parade at 3.45pm.
