
Get ready for the fight night of your life next month.
King of the Octagon will roll into Workington on July 5 and organisers say it will be the biggest event of its kind Cumbria has ever seen.
MMA and boxing has soared in popularity and organisers Westlakes Productions said its one-of-a-kind event will offer something for everyone.
Taking place at Moorclose Sports Centre, the event will feature youth and adult fights and there will also be three title belts up for grabs.
Fighters will compete in a 25ft cage with lighting, stage and big screen which will also be broadcasting the fights live via PPV.
Special guest for the show is Paul Venis. Paul will be refereeing the boxing/K1 fights and will also be offering meet and greet photo opportunities with VIP table seated ticket holders.

Sky Sports announcer Jonathan Millard will be the announcer/MC for the event.
Westlakes Productions added: “We are delighted to also announce that we have booked arguably the best commentary team in UK – MMA, Cage Warriors world champion Harry Hardwick, and the host of Fight Talk, Jake Smith.”

Kath Hall and her team of referees, judges and timekeepers will make sure there is fair play and professionalism at King of the Octagon.

King of the Octagon Heavyweight title fight
Luke Dyson and Bradley Couch will go head-to-head for the King of the Octagon – Heavyweight Boxing title.
Get ready for an explosive showdown in this epic clash!
Dyson, the UK’s most active fighter steps into the ring to face off against Couch, one of the hardest men in Wales.
Westlakes Productions said: “This is more than a fight – it’s a battle of grit, heart, and pure power!

Amateur MMA featherweight bout
Matt Houston, fighting out of OX Fight Academy, will be facing Jacob Smith, fighting out of Taigon MMA Cheshire.
Flyweight MMA fight
Nathan Marsh, fighting out of Tapout Knockout Carlisle, facing Byron Roberts, fighting out of OX Fight Academy.
Bantamweight fight
Leon Emerson, fighting out of OX Fight Academy will be facing Luckas Woodward, fighting out of Taigon MMA
Bruiserweight fight
Andrew Mitchell, fighting freelance, will face Brad Tedham, fighting out of Tapout Knockout, Carlisle
Featherweight fight
Ryan Dobinson, fighting out of Tapout Knockout, Workington, facing George Plevin, fighting out of Taigon MMA Cheshire
Lightweight MMA title fight
Fighting for the first ever King of the Octagon lightweight MMA title will be Tom Johnston, fighting out of Tapout Knockout, Workington and Taz Makawa, fighting out of Taigon MMA, Winsford.
Westlakes Productions added: “King of the Octagon is proud to support Papyrus, a vital charity dedicated to supporting young people’s mental health and preventing suicide.
“In honour of Matthew Green, a talented young fighter whose life was tragically cut short, we are committed to raising awareness for Papyrus’ invaluable work. Matthew’s loss has deeply touched our community, and we believe it is our responsibility to highlight this cause.
“Together with our friends at AVT Leeds, we stand united in supporting Papyrus’ mission to ensure young people have the resources and support they need.”

Prices are:
- VIP table seated for 10 people with table service £500
- VIP ringside seats £40
- Standard seating £30
