A free art workshop will be held at Holker Hall and Gardens in South Cumbria to encourage people to pick up a brush.
It will be led by award-winning artist Bob Sutcliffe on June 22 from 2pm to 4pm in the Courtyard Exhibition space.
Bob is currently artist in residence at Holker Hall.
Bob taught himself to paint after a heart attack and recurrence of epilepsy. In the last six years he has painted for clients across the world and, in the process, raised nearly £1 million for charity.
He was appointed to the Order of the British Empire in the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Birthday Honours for services to education, charity, and people with epilepsy in 2022 and founded The Creative Health Trust UK – the UK’s only charity to fund creative therapies in hospices for residents and families when they need it the most.
He said: “The workshop is a chance to dabble with some paints, have fun and get some tips along the way – for free!” said Bob, whose Good Souls Exhibition runs at Holker Hall & Gardens until October and showcases a number of his paintings where Cumbrians “quiet heroes” are the subjects.
No booking is required but places are limited by the number of seats in the exhibition space.
