
The Health and Safety Executive said it making enquiries into a workplace incident which resulted in two people being taken to hospital.
A teenager and a man in his 20s were injured during the incident, which took place on Inkerman Terrace in Whitehaven yesterday, Tuesday June 10.
Cumbria police said they were called at around 3pm by the North West Ambulance Service.
They said the boy was taken to hospital with injuries described as not life threatening.
The man suffered minor injuries.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service said it was called at around 2.55pm and described it as an industrial incident.
The service added: “We had a doctor and paramedic on board our aircraft and they arrived on scene at 3.14pm.
“Our team worked alongside the North West Ambulance Service to assess and treat two patients.
“One patient has been airlifted to hospital by our team and one patient has been taken to hospital by the North West Ambulance Service road crew.
A spokesman for the Health and Safety Executive said: “We are aware of the incident and are in the process of making enquiries.”
