Copeland Police has issued a warning about youngsters climbing on roofs and scaffolding.
It said its officers were getting an increasing number of calls relating to the issue in Whitehaven town centre over the last few weeks.
Copeland police said: ” We understand some kids like to climb but it’s getting out of hand and someone is going to get seriously hurt.
“In addition to this, it is never okay to climb on another’s private property.
“Parents please talk with your kids about the dangers and potential consequences of this behaviour.
“The last thing we want is to be knocking at your door to tell you your son or daughter has been seriously injured after falling from a height.”
