Pedestrian seriously injured in Carlisle crash

A pedestrian has been seriously injured in a collision with a van in Carlisle.

Cumbria police is appealing for witnesses following the incident in Prescott Road on Tuesday, June 24, at around 9.15am.

The pedestrian, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital after suffering serious head injuries, not believed to be life-threatening.

The vehicle involved was a white Ford Transit van. The driver stopped following the collision and has engaged with police.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, has dashcam or has any other information which may help.
