Hartside Pass was closed following a collision.
Eden Police said the A686 was closed to traffic following the incident yesterday, Sunday June 29.
The collision, at the Renwick turn-off, was reported at around 1.20pm.
The road reopened at around 6.20pm.
A motorcyclist was seriously injured in the collision.
Cumbria police is appealing for witnesses and information.
The collision involved two motorcyclists and happened at around 12.10pm.
One rider was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in hospital. The second sustained minor injuries. He did not require hospital treatment.
Police thanked members of the public who stopped at scene to assist and also appeal to any witnesses of the collision to contact police.
