
Emergency services have been called to Maryport Harbour after reports that someone fell into the water.
The air ambulance, fire service and police were among the emergency services at the scene.
Maryport Rescue was called out to the incident at around 5.40pm.
It said: “Quickly on station, due to low tidal condition, the team’s boat was launched and proceeded across the harbour.
“A casualty was extracted from the water, casualty care was administered before we returned back to our slipway.
“Casualty was handed to colleagues from North West Ambulance Service, members of Maryport Coastguard Rescue Team & Whitehaven Coastguard Rescue Team for further assessment and medical assistance.”
