Having been given the green light to resume racing, Workington Comets are bringing their fixture list up to date.
Following their recent suspension, Comets will be back in action on Saturday at Northside against Poole Pirates but with a changed start time to 6pm in the hope it will increase attendance.
Meanwhile the Pirates were due to host the Comets on Wednesday, August 13, but this has now been brought forward with the Cumbrians visiting Wimborne Road later this month, on Wednesday, July 23.
Poole promoter Danny Ford said: “Bringing Workington forward helps us all round.
“It provides us with more continuity with our home meetings and also frees up August 13 which should help with us being able to fix up either our BSN semi-final or possibly our KO Cup semi-final.
“Having spoken to our potential opponents for those competitions, July 23 was not an option for them, so we are grateful that Workington have worked with us in agreeing to come to us in just a couple of weeks’ time.”
The Comets had been suspended by the BSPL over administrative issues, but it was confirmed on Wednesday that these had been resolved.
Workington have only ridden one Championship meeting, a home win over Plymouth, but they have been docked the two points because of their breach of SCB regulations which prompted the suspension.
The Comets are currently working on rearranging the meetings that have been postponed during their suspension.
