Plans for an early departure of the tall ship that has been wowing the crowds in Whitehaven had to be abandoned.
El Galeón Andalucía, which had its stay in the West Cumbrian town extended from Sunday, was due to leave today – but the wind had other ideas.
The ship got into difficulty trying to leave the harbour as the wind pushed it into other vessels moored there.
She is back on the Sugar Tongue for the time being and another attempt will be made soon.
