Weather puts paid to bowls matches

Only three matches scheduled in the West Cumbria mixed Triples League scheduled on Tuesday, July 15, were played.

The three results were as follows: Workington A 6 Croft 3; Whitehaven A 5 Vulcan Park 4; Maryport 7 Workington B O.

League standings (Games played and points): Maryport 9-60, Whitehaven A 7-46, Workington B 6-37, Workington A 6-35, Seascale 7-33, Croft 8-30, Cleator Moor 7-29, Vulcan Park 8-29, Harris Park A 7-28, Harris Park B 8-28, Seaton 7-26, Wigton 5-25, Egremont 7-24, Whitehaven B 5-20.

West Cumbria Fours League

Three of the four scheduled fixtures were completed last Friday and the results were as follows: Cleator Moor 2 Whitehaven A 5; Seaton 4 Fitz Park 3; Whitehaven B 0 Maryport 7.

League standings (Games played and points): Workington A 9-55, Whitehaven A 10-51, Fitz Park 10-44, Cleator Moor 9-39, Maryport 10-30,  Seaton 10-30, Workington B 9-21, Vulcan Park 12-27, Whitehaven B 9-16.
