The new Midweek Members Club in West Cumbria showed its real value yesterday.
Eleven lofts sent over 500 birds to Flookburgh, and although it’s far from everyone’s favourite racepoint, produced a good race.
Returns were excellent and experienced convoyer John McNichol said the birds cleared as well as any he had seen from Flookburgh.
Jason Dempsey of Maryport had dominated the first two races from Haverigg and Flookburgh and he was successful again with the first 17 on the result sheet.
There are now two section results – north and south with the Lowca partnership of Holliday and Dixon prominent in the south
