Prism Arts will be going on the road this summer for inclusive theatre performances at venues across Cumbria.
Prism’s Big Night Out has been awarded cash from the Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Prism Arts is a Cumbria-based arts charity that works with learning disabled and neurodivergent people to express their experiences and insight creatively, making powerful, high-quality work that is shared, recognised and respected.
It said each show would be a vibrant, accessible, and joyous variety performance, devised and performed by Prism’s talented learning disabled and neurodivergent artists.
Prism’s Big Night Out promises to create shared experiences where everyone feels welcome.

The project’s mission is to develop learning disabled and neurodivergent audiences in the region, breaking down barriers to the arts and celebrating diverse creative voices.
Col Conroy, creative director at Prism Arts, said: “We believe everyone should have the chance to enjoy a great night out at the theatre.
“This project isn’t just about putting on shows – it’s about building a cultural landscape where learning disabled and neurodivergent people are central to the story, both on stage and in the audience.”
