
People are urged to check their dash cam footage after a driver failed to stop for police then drove dangerously through Carlisle.
The incident happened on Friday, August 15, and the vehicle involved was a blue Volkswagen Golf.
Police are asking motorists who may have been in the area of Stanhope Road, Granville Road and Newtown Road going towards Moorhouse at around 4.15pm to review their dash cam footage, which may have captured the vehicle.
The vehicle was later found on a field going towards Moorhouse.
A 28-year-old man from Carlisle has been arrested on suspicion of numerous offences, police said and has been bailed, pending further enquiries
A police spokesman said: “Cumbria police is aware of online comments regarding the manner of driving of this vehicle and are requesting for anyone who may have relevant dash cam footage to get in touch.”
