
Over 250 vehicles were stopped in a West Cumbrian town as part of a police operation targeting anti-social driving.
Officers were in Workington as part of Operation Colossus on Saturday evening.
They manned checkpoints around town and said they dealt with a number of offences.
There was one arrest for drug driving and a vehicle was seized.
Officers also:
Conducted four searches
Conducted eight breath tests
Conducted five drugs wipes
Found three people driving otherwise in accordance with a licence
Found two no insurance offences
Found two vehicles with bald tyres
One vehicle had no MOT
Lodged one tax offence
Allerdale police said: “This is just one operation in the area recently. On September 1, another operation at Salterbeck led to another drug driving arrest.
“On August 27, an operation between Dearham and Dovenby resulted in 22 drivers being dealt with for speeding offences.”
