A popular West Cumbrian pub is set to open this week with new management at the helm.

Oily’s, at Winscales, near Workington, has been taken over by Pitch Perfect and will reopen on Friday, September 19.

The first 20 customers on opening night will receive a free bottle of Prosecco to celebrate.

Pauline Kelly and her staff will be there to welcome customers old and new and in the run-up to the reopening, a minor refurbishment is taking place.

The menu will still feature Oily’s favourites and it will be open all day for food.

Pitch Perfect has a five-year lease on the pub and a spokesman said: “Oily’s has always had a great reputation and we aim to make sure we live up to that.

“We’re not changing the menu – only doing some minor tweaks – as it’s always been popular and we want people to feel at home.

“We’re looking forward to being part of the community for a long time to come.”

Oily’s reopens on Friday, September 19 at 5.30pm.
