A weather warning has been issued for heavy rain in Cumbria this weekend.
The Met Office has issued the yellow weather warning from 9am on Saturday, September 19, to 6am on Sunday, September 20.
It said there was a small chance that heavy rainfall may cause some transport disruption and flooding.
It said rainfall will spread north eastwards on Saturday, and become persistent and at times heavy.
Through this period 20mm to 40mm of rain is expected to fall widely, with some locations perhaps seeing 75mm to 100mm, with much of this total falling in the later hours of the event.
From mid-Saturday onwards, increasingly strong gusty winds and perhaps some thunder will also accompany the rainfall, further increasing the risk of disruption.
By the early hours of Sunday, persistent heavy rain will have likely cleared from Wales, with this rain easing for northern England and Scotland by dawn on Sunday morning.
Showers then follow and winds remain strong through Sunday.
What should I expect?
- There is a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses
- There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings
- Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services
- Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
- There is a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life

Fourteen flood alerts and one flood warning are in force for Cumbria.
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for rain for tomorrow from 9am until Sunday at 6am.
A flood warning is in place for Keswick Campsite.
Lake levels fell slightly yesterday but further rainfall was expected today and through the weekend.
This will cause river and lake levels to rise again and continue to cause flooding.
Areas most at risk include low lying areas bordering the shores of Derwentwater and the frontage of the Keswick Camping and Caravan Club Site. Further rainfall is forecast for tomorrow.
