
Flood warnings and alerts remain in place for Cumbria after heavy rain fell in the county yesterday and overnight.
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning until 6am today, Sunday September 21.
Several flood warnings and alerts have been removed this morning, but are still in force for some areas.
Flood warnings
Flood warnings – meaning act now, flooding is expected – have been issued for:
- Keswick Campsite
- River Eden at Carlisle, Rickerby Park, Swifts and Stoneyholme Golf Courses
- River Eden at Warwick Holmes
Flood warnings removed
- Dragley Beck at Ulverston from Dragley Beck Bridge on Well Lane downstream to South Ulverston
- River Caldew at Cummersdale, Factory
- River Eden at Appleby, The Sands, Cricket ground, King George’s Field
- River Eden at Armathwaite, The Castle and Brocklewath
- River Eden at Bolton
- River Eden at Edenhall

Roads
Drivers are urged to take care when out and stay alert to road surface conditions and potential flooding.
No reports coming in as yet of flooded roads, but drivers saying there are a lot of deep puddles.
The A5086 between Mockerkin and Lamplugh was closed to traffic on Friday due to extreme flooding, but is passable now.
