Two Lake District hotels have been named among the best in the world by readers of a prestigious publication.
Linthwaite House in Bowness and Langdale Chase in Windermere have been included in the Condé Nast Traveller 2025 UK Readers’ Choice Awards.
In 2025, over 182,500 readers across the UK shared their experiences, offering an authoritative perspective on the destinations and properties that inspire travellers to return.
Linthwaite House, operated by the Leeu Collection, earned the 13th position in its rest of UK category and Langdale Chase, run by Daniel Thwaites, was named in 23rd position.
Karen Irving, general manager at Linthwaite House, said: “The whole Leeu team is absolutely delighted to be recognised once again by the readers of Condé Nast Traveller.
“To be placed among the top hotels in the UK is a real honour, particularly because these awards are decided by travellers themselves.
“It is a true reflection of the passion, hard work and dedication shown every single day by our team here at Linthwaite House, and across the wider Leeu Collection.
“We are immensely proud to represent the Lake District on an international stage, and we look forward to welcoming even more guests to experience the beauty of our surroundings, the warmth of our hospitality, and the unique Leeu touch that makes a stay with us so memorable.”
