
Two Cumbrian players have been shortlisted for an NCL Player of the Year award.
Fletcher Holgate, of Hensingham, and Barrow Island’s Carl McBain have been nominated for the main accolade in Division Two.
The third nomination is Alfie Crawford of East Leeds who went through the League season unbeaten.
They will find out the winner at the NCL awards dinner to be held on Saturday, October 18.
There are no other Cumbrian nominations in the Premier, Division One or Division Three.
Up for the awards are:
- Premier Division: Kegan Brennan (Waterhead), Jamie Greenwood (Siddal), Harry Williams (West Bowling).
- Division One: Byron Aspinall (Ince Rose Bridge), Danny Cassidy (Wigan St Jude’s), Connor Parkinson (Wigan St Jude’s).
- Division Three: Josh Bradbury (Saddleworth Rangers), Tyler Fisher (Myton Warriors), Ben Stead (Keighley Albion).
