Two former Workington Reds players are with England in the World Cup.
But this competition is the Seniors World Cup and is being played in Thailand.
Among the England squad are David Norris, who played at Workington two years ago under Mark Fell.
Also there is Lee Elam, who spent a short time with the Reds in 2013 when he was signed by manager Darren Edmondson during his first spell in charge.
The tournament format requires each side to have three players aged 40 to 44, four players aged 45 to 49 and three players aged 50 or older on the pitch at one time.
There are rolling substitutes for the over 50s and matches are 20-minute quarters.
Best known player in the squad is Gareth Barry, who made 683 Premier League appearances over his career, and his ex-Aston Villa team-mate Lee Hendrie is also there at the Seniors World Cup.
The eight-nation tournament, first staged in 2006, has been taking place this week in the city of Ubon Ratchathani.
The four teams in Group B are Australia, France, Laos and New Zealand. The top two in each group advanced to the Seniors World Cup semi-finals today with the final played on Saturday.
England’s opening Group A game was against host nation Thailand on Monday which they won 2-0, with Norris getting one of the goals.
England’s team against Thailand was Luke McCormick; Jamie Coyle, Ian Cox, Jake Wright; Lee Elam, Lee Hendrie, Gareth Barry, David Norris, Kevin Ellison; Aaron O’Connor, Barry Hayles.
The followed-up with a 4-1 win over Taiwan and then beat the USA 3-0 to book their place as group winners and today’s semi-final with Australia.
Norris, 45, had played under Mark Fell at Lancaster and then retired.

But Fell persuaded him to don his boots again and he made seven starts for the Reds and another five from the bench.
When he scored in a 3-1 win over Whitby Town it made him Reds oldest goal scorer at 43 years and seven months.
He is still a registered player with Daisy Hill in the North West Counties League.
In a long Football League career he is best remembered at Plymouth Argyle where he made 219 appearances, with another 106 at Ipswich Town.
Elam is 49 and played most games for his first club Southport (104) before a mainly non-league career, although he did play 40 games for Exeter City.
More recently he has been manager at Eccleshill United but last month was appointed boss of their Bradford rivals Albion Sports.
