
A Carlisle man has been banned from the city centre, a medical centre and from drinking alcohol in public.
Anthony Sheckley, 56, of Grange Road, has been was given the two-year criminal behaviour order earlier this week.
The order was secured after Sheckley appeared in court on October 28.
He was found guilty of two public order offences on October 7 and October 21 and a drunk and disorderly offence on October 6.
Sheckley must not:
- Enter Carlisle city centre which is bound by the following: Settle–Carlisle line, Castle way, Georgian Way, Spencer Street, Warwick Road, Cecil Street, Tait Street, Crown Street Carlisle. Unless travelling on public transport or attending Carlisle Railway Station in possession of a valid train ticket or immediately purchase a valid train ticket and board the train in one hour or for a pre-arranged appointment at probation, Cumberland Council Civic centre, Carlisle magistrates or crown court and leave the area immediately once the meeting is concluded.
- Be in possession of any unsealed vessel containing alcohol in any public place, except Inside a licensed premises.
- Not attend St Paul’s Medical Centre, St Paul’s Square, Carlisle CA1 1DG.
The punishment for breaking the terms of an order can be up to five years in prison.
Anyone who witnesses Sheckley breaching the terms of his order should contact the police.
