A dispersal order is in place for Carlisle Fireshow.
Cumbria police are deploying a higher number of officers in the city on Saturday November 1, for the annual fireshow, which welcomes thousands of people every year.
Ahead of the event, police have authorised a dispersal order, which is in place from noon to 11.59pm on 1 November in Carlisle city centre.
The dispersal order gives officers extra powers to ask individuals engaging in anti-social behaviour to leave the area and not return, if they return they risk being arrested.
Officers will be patrolling the area on Saturday to make sure everyone enjoys the show without disruption.
Inspector Andy Leather, of Carlisle Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Unfortunately in previous years we have had incidents of anti-social behaviour in the city centre.
“This behaviour will not be tolerated. We have dedicated resources covering the fireworks show at Bitts Park and in the city centre to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable night.
“Anyone who is issued a dispersal orders will get a visit from officers at home.”
