
A Carlisle road will be closed for 10 nights for resurfacing.
Cumberland Council said work was due to start on Dalston Road today, Monday November 3.
The work will be carried out in two phases from Monday to Friday.
The first phase, from today until Friday November 7 will be between Dunmail Drive and Richardson Street.
Phase two, due to start on Monday November 10 and finish on Friday November 14, will be between Woodend Drive and the Pirelli factory.
Workers will be on site from 6pm to 1am, and the road will remain closed until 3am to allow for clean-up and curing of materials.
A diversion will be in place.
During working hours, no vehicular access will be permitted within the work areas.
Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
