Barrow allotments targeted three times by vandals

Barrow allotments have been targeted three times by vandals.

On October 21, police were called to the Vickerstown allotments after reports of a fire.

Two sheds at the allotments had been on fire and damage also caused to a next-door plot with a window smashed and other damage.

On October 31, someone has trespassed onto an allotment behind Gatacre Street, Walney.

A window of a shed was smashed and a pulled the panel away to gain access.

A small green jerry can containing petrol from the shed was taken.

It is believed to have happened between 6pm and 10pm.

Also on October 31, it was reported that an allotment had been broken with a padlock snapped to gain access. A sledgehammer was taken from the shed.
