Five people have been rescued from floods and one taken to hospital in Cumbria.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service has responded to several serious flooding incidents overnight on Wednesday and early yesterday morning in the north and west of the county.
Firefighters rescued multiple people from cars and flood water yesterday.
At 1.59am, a person was rescued from flood water at High Seaton, using flood suits. Crews were in attendance for an hour.
Later, at 6.23am, crews pumped water from a flooded home in Irthington and the ambulance service took one person to hospital.
At 6.50am, a man was rescued from a van trapped in flood water near Bolton New Houses.
At 7.51am, teams rescued another man from a car stuck in flood water near Wetheral, using flood suits and a wading pole.
Teams also rescued two people trapped in a car in flood water near Aspatria at 9am.
The pair were rescued and passed into the care of the North West Ambulance Service.
Firefighters have also worked to support communities manage the impact of flooding yesterday.
At 3.15am, water was pumped from a flooded bungalow near Penrith.
Then at 3.27am, crews worked to clear drains and a culvert after several homes flooded on Moor Road, Stainburn, Workington.
At 5.53am, firefighters also worked alongside local residents in Hall Brow, Workington, to clear drains and tackle localised flooding using shovels and small tools, as well as pumping water away from affected properties.
Crews also pumped and diverted water with the help of a local farmer from five homes in Meadow Close, Lazonby.
