A pop-up cafe has reopened its doors at Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice.
The cafe was flooded with supporters during its August opening.
All proceeds from the cafe will go towards helping Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw continue to provide compassionate, specialist care for patients of all ages.
Homemade cakes, coffee, and lunches are being served from today, Monday, November 24 until Friday, November 29.
The cafe, in the Living Well Hub on the hospice grounds, is open from 9am to 3pm and there is no need to book.
Beverley Armstrong, hospitality lead at Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, said: “We are so thankful for the support we received at our pop-up café in August.
“But what stood out for me was the connections and the real sense of community.

“I can’t quite put into words how special it felt to have so many wonderful supporters of our hospice step into the café, and what was special was that every cuppa, every piece of cake and every lunch order helped to raise much needed funds for our hospice.”
Currently 80 per cent of the cost of care at the hospice is funded by the generosity of the community.
A donation of just £27.13 would provide an hour of specialist care for a patient, but every contribution – large or small – helps ensure no one faces the end of life alone.
