A woman suffered cuts to her face after a tree fell on her car during Storm Bram.
Police said they were called to the A595 at Bothel yesterday, Tuesday December 9, at around 4.30pm.
A tree had fallen and landed on the front of a car while it was travelling on the road.
Cumbria police said: “The driver suffered cuts to her face from broken glass and was taken to hospital to be checked over.”
The road was closed and reopened at around 7.45pm.
At around the same time, two miles east of Cockermouth, a tree came down on the A595 and blocked both carriageways.
Police and the fire service managed to clear the tree shortly after 5pm.
