Fifty-five laughing gas canisters were collected by police in under an hour in Carlisle.
Carlisle police said officers from its neighbourhood policing team were out in Raffles yesterday afternoon after concerns were raised about the use of the gas, also known as nitrous oxide.
Carlisle police said: “The inhalation of the nitrous oxide can have serious health consequences and can even kill if misused in such a way, especially behind the wheel.”
