
Four sheep have been killed and one seriously injured in a village near Penrith.
Police are investigating the incident that happened overnight on December 31 in Kirkoswald.
The sheep were in fields near the village’s cricket pitch.
Cumbria police said enquires were ongoing but currently no dog/s or owners have been identified.
Anyone who was in the area at the time or has any information that could help with the investigation is encouraged to come forward.
