Keswick Urgent Treatment Centre is closed this weekend.
The centre, at the cottage hospital, will be closed today, Saturday January 10 and tomorrow, Sunday January 11.
No reason has been given for the closure, but the centre has been closed on numerous occasions in 2025 and at least once this year to staff sickness or staffing issues.
The North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Trust, which runs the centre, said the Penrith Urgent Treatment Centre and A&E departments at Carlisle’s Cumberland Infirmary and the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven were open as usual.
It added: “Penrith Urgent Treatment Centre is equipped to diagnose and treat many of the most common ailments.
“A&E has to prioritise the most serious cases first so if your condition is less serious, but cannot wait until you can see a GP, a UTC may be the best place for you. “
Penrith Urgent Treatment Centre is open daily from 8am until 10pm.
