
A man has been banned from several Carlisle shops for five years.
Paul Elliot, 44, of Hawthorn Grove, Carlisle, was given the criminal behaviour orderĀ on Tuesday, January 13, after appearing at court for theft and possession of a knife.
He was sentenced to 24 weeks.
Under the criminal behaviour order, Elliot must not enter:
- Heron Foods on Lowther Street, Carlisle
- Spar on English Street, Carlisle
- Asda at St Nicholas Gate Retail Park on London Road, Carlisle
- Tesco English Street, Carlisle
- The Co-op on Denton Street, Carlisle
- Any B&M store in Carlisle
- Not to enter Boots on English Street, Carlisle
- Marks & Spencer clothing and food hall on English Street, Carlisle
- Any Sainsbury’s store in Carlisle
Anyone who sees the terms of such a court order being broken s urged to contact the police immediately.
The punishment for breaking the terms of an order can be up to five years in prison.
Anyone who witnesses Elliot breaching the terms of his order should contact the police.
