Performance artist Lou Barnell appears in Barrow this weekend with an icy concert at Full of Noises.
Lou presents Song Shelter/Bone Ballad at Piel View House in Barrow Park at 7pm on Saturday, March 14.
By using breakthrough touch and movement sensor technology embedded in ice sculptures, the audience will create and move around the space or simply immerse themselves in a live soundscape created with voice, movement and electronics.
Audience members are asked to attend with waterproofs – due to the melting nature of the sculptures in this performance.
Audience members who are writers and poets are also asked to bring along samples of their work which could form part of the performance.
Lou’s work explores science fiction and dreaming to tell expansive stories and imagine futures in volatile times. She creates immersive worlds called Live Dreams.
Lou is an Oram Award Winner – a prestigious accolade bestowed on women who are innovators in the fields of music, sound and related technologies.
Tickets for Saturday’s concert are just £5 available here.
