Roadworks in Cockermouth have been delayed due to the weather.
Cumberland Council’s resurfacing of Gote Brow began on February 23 and was scheduled to take four weeks in total.
The road is currently closed to all traffic.
But the authority said the resurfacing was now due to be completed on Tuesday March 17.
The road closure will then be removed, and the road will reopen on Wednesday, March 18, when two‑way temporary traffic lights will be in operation until Friday March 27.
During the full road closure, access for residents will be limited between 7.30am and 6pm. Traffic marshals will be on site and will help residents in accessing their properties when it is safe to do so.
Full access has been maintained at all times for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists.
Waste and recycling collections will continue as normal. Bus passengers with enquiries are encouraged to contact Stagecoach directly.
