A man was due to appear in court after reports that a person was spotted with a knife in Workington this week.
A man was seen on Bridge Street in the town on Monday, March 16, Cumbria police said.
Chris Thompson, 39, of no fixed address, has been charged with possession of a bladed article.
He was due to appear at Workington Magistrates Court yesterday, Tuesday March 17.
