A Cumbrian has come out on top at a strongest teen competition for a second time.
Keenan Pearson, 17, of Maryport, has been crowned winner of the Kaos Strongest Teenager competition, which took place at Kaos Gym, in Preston.
He won all four events in the competition including the deadlift, axle press, farmers carry and medley.
It marks the second consecutive time Keenan has won the competition.
He said: “It was a really good feeling to win, especially to win it twice, I was quite shocked! I just couldn’t believe it.
“My first event was a max deadlift powerlifting style, so you had three attempts and I did an opener of 220kg and a second one of 240kg and after that I didn’t need a third attempt because I’d already won.
“The highest the others had got was 200kg, so I was well over by 40kg.
“I did take a week off after it and I treated myself to a takeaway! But without my sponsors I wouldn’t be where I am today, they make it all happen.”

Keenan’s axle press saw him win with just one 100kg rep and his farmers carry saw him carry 85kg per hand in 8.9 seconds.
His final medley event saw him move an 80kg tire and a 48kg Thomas Inch dumbbell lift where he had to pick the dumbbell up with one hand and move it
It also saw him move an 80kg sandstone bag and he took on three other 60kg, 70kg and 80kg sandbag lifts. He won the medley overall by 42 seconds.
The 17-year-old is also planning to take part in more competitions this year, after he came out on top in two events at the intermediate Manimal Monsters competition in February.
Keenan said: “I’ve just started back prepping for Cumbria’s Strongest Man now which is in nine weeks time.
“I’m training with my coach Ben Harrison and I’ll be competing in the opens men category. I’m both excited and nervous because there’s people doing it who’ve competed in Giant’s Live.
“But my mam and dad say no matter what it’s all good experience.”
Keenan trains a total of six times a week with his coach Ben Harrison, who got him into the sport in late 2024 and has keenly supported his journey so far.
He also has to eat a whopping 10,000 calories a day in five to six meals of meat and rice to fuel his training.
Keenan said that it is thanks to his sponsors who are supporting his strongman career that he is able to take on competitions.
