A person has been airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a collision on the M6.
The collision, near Junction 41 at Catterlen, happened at around 1.10pm yesterday, Tuesday April 7.
It involved a HGV and a Seat Tarraco.
The driver of the HGV was uninjured.
A rear seat occupant of the Seat was taken to hospital via air ambulance with life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Seat was uninjured. Two other occupants suffered minor injuries.
Police are investigating.
A closure remained in place between Junction 41 and Junction 40 at Penrith southbound while investigations were ongoing.
The road reopened at around 8.10pm.
