A concert to raise cash for the Great North Air ambulance Service will be held in Appleby next month.

Penrith’s Lakeland Larks Community Choir will perform at Appleby Sands Methodist Church Hall on Saturday May 16.

Lakeland Larks is directed by Elizabeth Ball who moved to Cumbria in 2024.

The choir perform music for all tastes including folk, musical theatre, swing and vintage pop.

Linda Taylor, joint organiser of the event, said: Music has always been a vital part of the life of the Methodist Church and we thought this would be a great way of providing an enjoyable evening’s entertainment while raising funds for this amazing air ambulance service, which we are so lucky to have.”

The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets are available from https://www.ticketsource.com/maytimemelodies
