Almost 100 workers at a Cumbrian packaging firm are set to take strike action over pay.
Members of the GMB union who work at Futamura in Wigton voted to take industrial action after they turned down an offer of 1.2 per cent.
The union said almost 90 per cent of its members voted in favour of strike action at the site, which makes cellulose film for packaging.
Michael Hall, GMB regional organiser, said: “We have been patient and tried to give the company time to listen and make a reasonable offer.
“But our members will not accept a below inflation pay offer, that is a real terms pay cut.
“We are now considering potential days for action.”
Futamura has been approached for comment.
