Work has begun on the next phase of a West Cumbrian development by Story Homes.
The Cumbrian firm was given permission for 158 new homes at its existing Edgehill Park estate in Whitehaven in January.
Its work also marks another milestone for the company – its 500th home across its Whitehaven developments.
Hayley Blair, operations director for Story Homes Cumbria & Scotland, said: “This is a significant moment for the development and for Whitehaven, which has been an important location for Story Homes for many years.
“Reaching 500 legal completions across our developments locally is something we’re incredibly proud of, and it reflects the strength of the communities we’ve helped to create.”
The first homes are expected to be released for sale this summer.
