A revamped Lake District hotel will reopen in November.
The Wordsworth Hotel in Grasmere was acquired by the Inn Collection Group for an undisclosed sum in 2022.
In the heart of the village, hotel originally opened as the Rothay Hotel in 1874. It was originally built as a hunting lodge for the Earl of Cadogan and has welcomed VIP guests throughout its years, including former US President Woodrow Wilson.
Work has been ongoing at the site and now the North East-based hospitality group said bookings had opened for later this year for the venue, renamed The Wordsworth.
It originally had 38 bedrooms but the new-look hotel will offer 56 rooms and create around 45 jobs.
