Work will start to resurface a Carlisle road from next week.

Cumberland Council is set to resurface the B5299 road between Daisy Avenue and Grange Drive from Monday, June 1.

Work is expected to last for around five days, subject to weather conditions and site requirements.

The work will be carried out under night-time road closures, with a signed diversion route.

Working hours will be 6pm to 1am, with the road remaining closed until 3am to allow for site clean-up and material curing.

During the work, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will still be able to pass through the area.
