Workington Town Ladies produced an emphatic display against Rochdale Hornets to continue their fine start to the season.
The Cumbrians won the Northern League One match 26-0 in Manchester to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
Newly promoted Rochdale hosted the game at the Hive Pavilion, a community venue which was set up aided by Sport England and National Lottery funds.
The deadlock was broken in the 18th minute when Caitlin Jenkinson used some superb footwork to score 10 metres from the posts. Keeley Chatters converted.
Town then continued to dominate the possession, but Rochdale did well to keep the visitors to just the one score by the half hour mark.
The second score came on 32 minutes when Leonie Bragg smashed a hole in the Hornets defence to feed Kacey Currie who raced under the posts for Chatters to add the extras.
In the closing stages of the half the hosts enjoyed their best spell of possession on the Town line, but the visitors held them out well.
Town scored early in the second half when the forwards laid a platform for Georgia Naylor to burrow over under the posts for a deserved try which Chatters improved.
Town were under the pump when Chloe Archer knocked on from a kick 12 metres off the line but were able to keep out the hosts.
The game then swung back and forth before Darcey Worth was taken high and from the following set Misfud ran through to score an unconverted try with four Hornets defenders on her back.
Town were quickly over again when Bethani Fearns scored on the hooter to round off a superb debut performance following a long lay-off.
The performance from Town was topped off by going joint top with Wakefield Trinity with seven points from a possible nine.
The final accolade was given to Leonie Bragg who was awarded the Town ladies player of the month for May. It was a testament to her hard work and determination since coming from the Egremont and Barrow youth set-ups.
Player of the match against Rochdale was awarded to Keeley Chatters.
